I recently noticed a problem with my Starbucks app and my rewards not accruing, despite many (MANY) purchases in the past few months. I finally decided to do something about it, and reported the issue to the “help” section on the app. After receiving a bullshit email back from Starbucks (it literally gave me an 800 number to Chase card services. WTF, Starbs?), I finally located and called an 800 for Starbucks.
The first person I spoke to told me to log out and back in to the app. That didn’t work and she told me to make sure my app was updated. It was. As we were hanging up, she told me to delete the whole app and reinstall it. None of those things worked, so I had to call the number again. The second lady had a southern accent (so I immediately liked her) and was able to fix my problem, and all of my recent bonus purchases showed up in the app, along with another four free items I’d accrued, as you can see below.
And I’m thankful for her.
